Private & Group Class payment + cancellation policies
Upon scheduling of your class or program, you will be charged a deposit for half (1/2) of the total program fee. Deposit must be paid within three (3) business days in order to reserve that date on SCCA's schedule. If deposit is not paid within three (3) business days, the reservation will be cancelled.
If you cancel your reservation less than 72 hours prior to the scheduled date and time, you will not receive back your deposit.
If a lesser number of students attend than were priced in the deposit, the final total can be adjusted in the final invoice. Final invoice is to be paid at time of program or through online invoice. Final invoice must be paid within three (3) business days of the program date. SCCA will not begin firing and completing your ceramics pieces until final invoice is paid.

Individual or Couple (1-2 people): $250
1.5 hours for handbuilding or wheel
Small group (3-5 people): $500
2 hours for handbuilding or wheel
Large group (6-8 people): $750
2 hours for handbuilding or wheel
Large handbuilding group (9-14 people): $1000
2 hours for handbuilding; no wheel option available
Large handbuilding group (15-20 people): $1500
2 hours for handbuilding; no wheel option available
All prices are offered at a flat rate per workshop.
Handbuilding workshop
Available for all ages.
Create your clay pieces using handbuilding techniques using the coil, pinch, or slab methods. Specific handbuilding projects can be provided by the instructor.
Students can choose up to 1-2 pieces to have fired and glazed by our staff. Finished pieces are typically ready for pick-up within 4-6 weeks after your class.
We can accommodate up to 20 people per handbuilding class.
Wheelthrowing class
Only available for ages 11+.
Learn the basics of creating pottery on the wheel. You will create cylinder and bowl shapes using basic throwing techniques.
Students can choose up to 4 pieces to have fired and glazed by our staff. Finished pieces are typically ready for pick-up within 4-6 weeks after your class.
We can accommodate up to 8 people per wheelthrowing class.
